"The Generic Phoenix!", (from The Generic Dragon). A fun creature indeed! It has three major features, as well as general usage information.

To get started, if you wanted to refer to your phoenix as fire, and you wanted its special code to be p, then you would type @addcode p to [phoenix name]. Now, to control your phoenix, you would type cd[code letter] [action]. For example, cdp "hello!".

Now on to the burn command (a fun feature from the generic dragon) - if someone is being a pain (and someone usually is), what better way to tell them, than with the fire of a phoenix? So, type cd[code letter] burn [whoever]. For instance, cdp burn Xion_11. You can customize the messages on the burn verb as well. Just use @messages [phoenix name] and look at the burn, oburn and iburn messages. You can change them by typing: @burn [phoenix name] is you (burn, freeze, zap, etc.) %d, @oburn [phoenix name] is %t (burns, freezes, zaps, etc.) %d, @iburn [phoenix name] is %t (burns, freezes, zaps, etc.) you.

Now on to fly (my personal favorite) - this is a fantastic verb that makes your phoenix fly around the room, and sometimes he or she may even do a trick for you. To try this, type: cd[code letter] fly. It's that easy. For example: cdp fly.

And last, but certainly not least, magic - you can also get your phoenix to use a randomized spell. Once again, to try this, type cd[code letter] [magic]. For instance: cdp magic, or for short cdp m. This will cause him or her to cast a random spell, but beware, it may hurt you as much as it hurts everyone else!

Special thanks to Cecil, who created the Generic Animal - the parent of the Generic Dragon, and to Boco and Polymorph for the Generic Dragon - the parent of the Generic Phoenix. Have fun, and good luck.
