The generic communicator is designed to be very simple to operate. To turn it on, you need merely tap it; after that, it is operated by voice control - say things out loud. It may be turned off either by voice control or tapping it a second time. Simple example; my name is Maxamillian, and I wish to talk to beta. We both have (or are near) communicators. I type the things marked '> like this': > tap communicator You tap Max's communicator. Max's communicator makes a worble, indicating that it is waiting for a command. > "Max to beta You say, "Max to beta" Max's communicator emits a whistle, indicating the connection is open. > "Hi, Beta! You say, "Hi, beta." beta says, through Max's communicator, "Hi, Max." > "Max out. You say, "Max out" Max's communicator emits a screegle, indicating that the connection is closed. (You can also turn the communicator off by tapping it a second time.)
