My impressions of MOO Canada, Eh? after a two year absence.
The MOO was pretty quiet two years ago. Now there are fewer people being even quieter.
Frequency of posts fretting over how to revive the MOO is falling.
Exit-rot has resulted in a shrinking downtown grid and a vast cloud of disconnected rooms, all in the Junk Room. I have mixed feelings about the Grassy Knoll being retired. On one hand starting on a street corner feels a little sterile. On the other hand I won't miss the creepy Kennedy assassination theme.
A lot of interesting work has been done improving the MOO language and core infrastructure, but sadly the help system hasn't been kept up-to-date and is half-broken.
The web interface and in particular the AJAX client are awesome, even when the client disconnects me every five minutes. They are proof of my belief that there is still a lot of fun to be had in MOOs.
